Meet Our Team

Gerald L. Marcus – Senior Counsel

Gerald L. Marcus has been practicing law since 1987; however he has worked in the personal injury field of law since 1980 as a private investigator for one of the largest personal injury firms in the San Fernando Valley. Mr. Marcus was the firm’s primary negligence investigator, and worked directly under the firm’s senior partners developing and preparing cases for settlement and trial. The experiences that Mr. Marcus gained as a full-time negligence investigator inspired his passion of fighting for the rights of innocent injured victims against the insurance industry.

Mr. Marcus attended California State University Northridge, and later started law school at the Southern California Institute of Law at the Ventura College of Law campus. Mr. Marcus was able to complete the 4 year law school curriculum a full six months early, all while working as a full time negligence investigator.

Since 1987, Mr. Marcus has represented nearly 10,000 clients. He has managed to obtain nearly $75,000,000.00 in settlements, arbitration awards, and jury verdicts for his clients. He is an active member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles.

Mr. Marcus is dedicated to the principals, and the philosophy, that every innocent injured victim is entitled to the best possible representation, regardless of their personal financial status, and of the size or complexity of their case. His philosophy can be summed up in one sentence: Every innocent injured victim is entitled to have their interests protected, and their case prosecuted aggressively and zealously, within the boundaries of the law, so that their ultimate recovery is maximized.

Mr. Marcus prides himself on being a tough, creative, and fair legal representative and negotiator. Additionally, Mr. Marcus has surrounded himself with his hand picked staff of well-trained individuals, who all share his basic common principals and philosophies.

Mr. Wallace handles all aspects of litigation, including law and motion practice, court appearances, mediation/settlement conferences, binding arbitrations, depositions, and legal research. Mr. Wallace brings a new and aggressive litigation approach to the firm. He is committed to advocating on behalf of the injured victims that seek the firm’s representation.

Mr. Wallace is admitted to practice before all of the courts of the State of California, as well as The United States District Court for the Central District of California. Scott E. White, MBA, PI
CA Private Investigator License #23654

Since 2000, Scott E. White has managed the investigation of every case handled by this firm. Scott has a diverse background including service in the US Army’s Intelligence branch, where he obtained certification as an Arabic linguist after attending the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey. As a linguist he enjoyed several years of contract work with the National Security Agency, US Customs, FBI, DEA and local law enforcement from different parts of the United States. Upon coming back to Southern California, Scott worked for the insurance industry.

Scott graduated with honors from Pepperdine University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He later obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine. Additionally, Scott holds a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.

One of the main duties Scott is charged with is the oversight, management, and investigational aspects of each case handled by the firm. This includes consulting with potential new clients about their cases, investigating existing cases, handling property damage claims, handling existing client issues and negotiating settlements on pre-litigated cases.

As with the rest of our firm, Scott believes that the most important component to our continued success is overall client satisfaction. Scott prioritizes client communication, and he will always take the time to explain the process of pursing a personal injury claim. He believes that clients, who are educated on the process, tend to have a higher overall satisfaction when it comes to resolving their claims.

As a licensed private investigator, Scott strives to enhance his profession and himself through membership and participation in professional organizations such as the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) and the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI).

Luis Garcia, Field Investigator

Luis is typically the first member of our firm’s team that a new client will meet. Being that the nature of our practice is associated with serious injuries, it’s important that we are able to meet with our clients where it is most convenient. Luis meets with clients at their homes, their places of business, and unfortunately, hospitals too.

It is our experience that thorough investigations are the backbone of every strong case. Luis’ work is used to determine negligence, and to strengthen a case by obtaining witness statements, physical evidence, scene diagrams/photographs, etc. In those cases where a material damage claim will be presented, Luis will work with Scott on the client’s behalf to get the best possible settlement for the damages done to their vehicle.

Luis is bilingual in Spanish.
